Governor Pat McCrory signed four bills into law yesterday. House Bill 358 will allow schools to be awarded A-F school performance grades based on a 15-point scale, providing a consistent benchmark for student achievement for state schools. The governor also signed House Bills 91, 601 and 706.

House Bill 35, with primary sponsors Rayne Brown (R-Davidson) and George Cleveland (R-Onslow), would repeal the statutory authority enabling the state to issue Certificates of Participation (COPs) as a form of debt financing.
